Online Programming Contest for Universities 2021 Report
Offering a national competitive programming contest environment for undergraduate students, inzva held the ‘Online Programming Contest for Universities’(‘OPC’) for the second time on December 19, 2021!
THIRD YEAR IN A ROW
The contest was held for the second time, however, OPC is a proud successor of the Turkish Programming Contest (“TPC”) which was held in Beykoz Kundura in 2019. The following year, due to the pandemic, the contest was moved to online and even though the location of the contest changed, some things have remained the same.
Our goal of making competitive programming known and helping computer engineer candidates to increase their level of efficient code-writing through friendly competition has stayed with us throughout these three years and will continue to do so.
ABOUT THE CONTEST
The Online Programming Contest is a two-round, team-based contest initiated in collaboration with participating Turkish universities and our community-based competitive programming platform, algoleague. It is open to all undergraduates studying in Turkey and who are willing to compete in teams of three. For the first time ever, we organized OPC on our competitive programming platform. As this was the first-ever national-level competition to be held on algoleague, we were quite excited to share the platform with so many users at the same time.
FROM OUR COMMUNITY FOR OUR COMMUNITY: algoleague
algoleague is a competitive programming platform where algorithm enthusiasts of all levels practice their algorithmic thinking skills and compete in contests both in teams and individually. The platform is powered by inzva community and supported by BEV Foundation.

“This year's OPC was a great experience. There was a lot of effort put into it. The inzva team responsible for this contest was really helpful throughout the whole process. Using the algoleague platform for the first time was an interesting experience as well. There weren't any big Turkish competitive programming platforms as big as algoleague and considering it is their first official nationwide contest, it was way better than my expectations and I believe it will become even better next year. I would definitely recommend to students at Turkish universities to compete in OPC/TPC.
