Frequently Asked Questions

Q: When will the set start and how many problems will there be?

A: First 3 problems will be added to the set on September 20, 12:00. There will be a total of 20 problems, 20 editorials, and 20 solution videos. 

Q: Which platform will be used for the set?

A: We will use the platform algoleague powered by inzva community and supported by BEV Foundation.

Q: Can I join the set without an algoleague account?

A: No, you have to have an algoleague account for solving the problems in the set. However, you don’t have to sign up and create an account before the set starts. Leaving your email address to the algoleague and filling out the application form will be sufficient for the application. 

Q: Can I participate in the set without applying for the inzva Algorithm Training Beginner Set?

A: Yes you can. But in order to receive prizes, you must register by filling out the application form and creating an account on algoleague.

Q: I am under 18 and studying in high school. Can I attend?

A: To sign up for algoleague and thus, join the set, you have to be 18 years of age or older. Therefore, you are not allowed to attend. 

Q: How can I apply to the inzva Algorithm Training Beginner Set?

A: You should fill the form at the application page here and leave your email address here

Q: I am not very proficient in algorithms but I want to learn. Can I attend the set?

A: Of course you can :). If you would like to improve your algorithm skills and do not know how to start, this set is a perfect fit for you. Also, you will have an opportunity to improve your problem-solving skills through the editorials and solution videos.

Q: I am not studying or have a degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering but I know programming. Can I attend the set?

A: Of course; as long as you would like to improve yourself, your major does not matter.

Q: Do I need to know anything about programming?

A: Yes. We expect you to have a grasp of one of the following programming languages:

C, C#, C++, Python, Java, and Javascript. You are also expected to show the necessary effort for improvement.

Also, we are expecting at least some basic programming skills like:

  • Basic Data Structures (Arrays, Matrices, Strings, Stacks, Queues)

  • Basic Math Operations (Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division, Exponentiation)

  • Basic Recursion

  • Basic String Manipulations

Q: Do I need to know English?

A: The problems and editorials will be in English, so you are required to know basic English to solve problems. But our solution videos will be in Turkish. 

Q: Who will solve the problems in the solution videos?

A: Experts from inzva’s Algorithm Community will be solving the problems in the videos.
