GENERAL
Q: When and where will the Algorithm Competition Winter Camp 2026 be held?
A: The camp will take place at Beykoz Kundura, Istanbul, from January 25 to January 31, 2026. All sessions will be held on-site throughout these dates.
Q: How long will the camp last, and where will participants stay?
A: The camp will last 7 days and 6 nights. Participants will stay in men’s and women’s dormitories located within Beykoz Kundura. If you have concerns about the accommodation type, please contact us at algorithm@inzva.com.
Q: How much does the camp cost?
A: Participation in the camp is completely free of charge. Accommodation and meals are provided by BEV.Foundation.
Q: Who will give the lectures?
A: Lectures will be delivered by experienced members of inzva’s algorithm community.
Q: What is the Code of Conduct and why is it required?
A: The Code of Conduct ensures a peaceful, respectful, and harassment-free environment throughout the camp. By applying, you agree to follow this code. Participants will also be asked to sign a media consent form for photos and videos captured during the camp.
Q: I am under 18 and studying in high school. Can I attend?
A: No. The camp is only open to undergraduate university students.
Q: Will there be Wi-Fi available?
A: Yes, free Wi-Fi will be available in all working and accommodation areas.
Q: How can I apply to the Algorithm Competition Winter Camp 2026?
A: You can complete the application form on our website. Details regarding the Qualification Round and other announcements will be sent via email.
Q: Is everyone who applies accepted to the camp?
A: No. A limited number of participants will be accepted.
Q: What should I bring to wear?
A: You will be studying for long periods, so comfortable clothing is recommended. Since Beykoz Kundura can be cold in January, please bring warm clothing, as well as items suitable for dormitory accommodation.
Q: Does inzva provide transportation?
A: No, transportation will not be provided. You may refer to our location guide for directions to Beykoz Kundura.
Q: Will I have a place to store my luggage?
A: Yes, but participants are responsible for their own belongings. Bringing a lock is recommended.
Q: I have food allergies. Can meals be arranged accordingly?
A: Please inform us via algorithm@inzva.com or through the health information form sent after the Qualification Round. You will also be asked to provide an emergency contact.
Q: I am not very proficient in algorithms but I want to learn. Can I still apply?
A: Yes. If you meet the eligibility requirements, you may join the Qualification Round. Based on your performance, you may be placed in the Foundation Group, which is designed for beginners.
Q: I am not studying Computer Science or Computer Engineering. Can I still apply?
A: Yes. Your major is not a selection criterion.
Q: Can I apply if I am not an undergraduate student?
A: No. Only prep, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year undergraduate students may attend. Senior-year, master’s, or PhD students will not be accepted.
Q: What should I bring for personal use?
A:
Your personal laptop and programming environment
Installed compiler and IDE/editor (e.g., VS Code, CLion, etc.)
Toiletries (towel, slippers, toothbrush, shampoo, etc.)
Comfortable and warm clothing
Personal items for leisure time (e.g., a musical instrument)
Q: Can I leave Beykoz Kundura during the camp?
A: We encourage participants to stay on-site, as the focused environment enhances learning. If you must leave for a valid reason, please email us beforehand.
Q: Is the venue wheelchair accessible?
A: Yes. Both Beykoz Kundura and the event building are fully wheelchair accessible. For additional support, please contact us at algorithm@inzva.com.
Q: Can I choose my group during application?
A: No. Groups will be determined based on your Qualification Round performance.
Q: Do I need to know English?
A: Lectures will be delivered in Turkish, but materials will be in English. Basic reading proficiency is required.
QUALIFICATION ROUND & PARTICIPANT SELECTION
Q: How can I enter the Qualification Round?
A: The Qualification Round will be held in person on January 3, 2026, in Istanbul and Ankara. Participants must use their own laptops. Detailed information about contest locations, rules, and logistics will be shared by email.
Q: When is the Qualification Round?
A: The Qualification Round will take place on January 3, 2026, and the contest will last 5 hours.
Q: When will the results and group placements be announced?
A: Results will be sent to all applicants on January 16, 2026, along with information about group placements.
Q: Do I have to solve all problems in the Qualification Round?
A: No. The contest is designed to determine your level. Solving everything is not required, and scores alone do not guarantee admission.
Q: What do you consider when selecting participants?
A: Several criteria are evaluated:
Qualification Round performance
Motivation and expectation answers in the application form
Priority for non-Istanbul residents
Previous camp experience and progression
Eligibility (prep-1st-2nd-3rd year undergraduate students)
Q: What programming knowledge do I need?
A: You should have solid knowledge of at least one programming language (C, C++, Python, or Java) and basic understanding of:
Arrays, matrices, strings, stacks, queues
Basic math operations
Recursion
String manipulations
All participants have to abide by our CODE OF CONDUCT and LETTER OF CONSENT.
