GENERAL

Q: What is the Turkish Programming Contest?
A: The Turkish Programming Contest is a two-round, team-based contest in collaboration with our community-driven competitive programming platform, algoleague. It is open to all undergraduate students studying in Turkey who wish to compete in teams of three.

Q: How much will the event cost for the participants?
A: The event is completely free of charge.

Q: What should be our programming language skill level? How hard will the problems be?
A: The contest will include algorithm problems of all levels. You can join the contest to test yourself and your team notwithstanding your algorithmic skills. The important thing is not the competition itself but the collaboration between the team members. We would like to see all future participants in the contest.

Q: How many problems will there be in each round?
A: There will be between 7-11 problems in each round.

Q: Are the solutions to the problems going to be shared?
A: We strongly believe that the participants should try to solve the problems and thus, improve, question, and challenge both themselves and their codes. Therefore, we will not be sharing the solutions, as it also requires a lot of effort and time to prepare original problems such as the ones that will be used in the TPC.

Q: Where can I access contest rules?
A: You can find the rules on the official ICPC website.

Q: Do I need to know English?
A: All the questions in the contest will be in English. Participants can use an English-Turkish dictionary during the contest if needed.

Q: What is the Code of Conduct and why do participants have to abide by it?
A: Code of Conduct is an agreement between the participants and inzva. As inzva, we want to provide a peaceful environment and a harassment-free coding experience to all participants.

APPLICATION & ELIGIBILITY

Q: We want to apply as a team. What are the requirements?
A: Teams must consist of three students from the same university in Turkey. Team members must be undergraduates in computer science or a related field. In order to participate, teams must register online by following the “Registration” steps.

Q: What will happen after we register as a team?
A: The contest manager will either accept or reject the request according to whether your team is eligible.

Q: I am a master’s student. Can I still join?
A: Unfortunately, you cannot.

Q: Do all the team members need to be from the same university?
A: Yes, this is a requirement.

Q: Can I join even if I am not a university student?
A: No, the contest is only open to university students.

Q: Can I join even if I am under 18?
A: Yes, as long as you are enrolled in a university degree program.

Q: I missed the deadline for applications. Can I still join?
A: Unfortunately, we do not accept any late applications.

Q: I work for a company. Can I join?
A: No, the contest is open only to university teams in Turkey.

Q: Can university teams from outside of Turkey join?
A: No, the contest is open only to universities located in Turkey.

Q: I am not studying computer science or computer engineering but I know programming. Can I attend the contest?
A: To attend the contest, you must be studying computer science or a related field.

Q: A student in our team has recently registered at the university but cannot receive a student document since they have yet to select a course. Can they use the document received from e-devlet for the application?
A: Yes, a document received from e-devlet will be sufficient.

Q: I represented my country in the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI). I can apply to a university in Turkey with my medal thanks to TUBITAK’s right, but I am not registered yet. Can I apply to the contest?
A: Yes, you can apply with a document proving your national medal and the university registration certificate.

Q: Is submitting the Application Form enough?
A: No. Every participant must complete the TPC 2026 Application Form, and the team must also register for TPC 2026 on algoleague. Both steps are required for a valid application.

Q: Can I apply individually?
A: No. Participation is only possible in teams of three students from the same university.

Q: What happens if one member of our team does not complete the Application Form?
A: The team's application will be considered incomplete and will not be evaluated. All team members must individually complete the application form before the deadline.

TURKISH PROGRAMMING CONTEST

Q: When and where is the Turkish Programming Contest 2026?
A: The Qualification Round will take place on September 26, 2026, simultaneously in Istanbul and Ankara. The Final Round will be held on October 9-11, 2026, at Beykoz Kundura, Istanbul.

Q: Can I participate in TPC online?
A: No, both the Qualification Round and the Final Round are physical on-site contests.

Q: Will food be provided?
A: Yes, meals and accommodation will be provided free of charge by the BEV Foundation for all teams invited to the Final Round.

Q: Does inzva provide transportation?
A: No, participants may apply for a travel grant if needed.

Q: Can we bring our own computer or laptop to the contest?
A: Yes, all teams must bring their own laptops.

Q: Will WiFi be available in the contest area?
A: Yes, free WiFi will be provided.

Q: Is the venue wheelchair accessible?
A: Yes, Beykoz Kundura and the contest area are fully wheelchair accessible.

FINALISTS & WINNER SELECTION

Q: How many teams will be accepted to TPC 2026 Final Round?
A: All eligible teams may participate in the Qualification Round. The top 20 teams, ranked according to the official ICPC scoring rules, will advance to the Final Round.

Q: How are the winners determined?
A: Teams will be ranked according to the official ICPC scoring rules. The top-performing teams will qualify for SEERC 2026, provided that no plagiarism or prohibited AI tool usage is detected.
