Frequently Asked Questions

Q: When and where is inzva Algorithm Program 2024-2025 Fall? 

A: The duration of the program is 8 weeks. The starting date is determined as the 5th of October and the ending date is the 30th of  December.

Q: Who can apply for the program?

A: It is open for undergraduate students or those of higher education studying in Istanbul. 

Q: Can every applicant join the program?

A: A limited number of participants will be accepted to the program. The participants should be studying at one of the universities in İstanbul. We give priority to undergraduate students who are studying in CS or related departments, especially those in their preparatory, first or second year.

Q: How much will the program cost for the participants?

A: The program is free of charge. Meals are provided by BEV.Foundation.

Q: Who will be giving the lectures?

A:  The lectures will be given by more experienced members of our community, and every document will be overviewed by other members. If you would like to contribute to the community as a lecturer, please send an email to algorithm@inzva.com with the subject “Being a lecturer for inzva events”.

Q: There are topics in the program that I already know. Do I have to attend those weeks?

A: Attendance is mandatory for each week. Those who are absent without a valid reason will not be able to continue the program.

Q: Can I join even if I am not a university student?

A: The program is only for undergraduate students or those in higher education.

Q: I am under 18. Can I attend?

A: If you are an undergraduate or a higher education student, you can attend the program. 

Q: I do not know any programming language but I want to learn. Can I join?

A: Unfortunately, you have to know at least one programming language to join the program.

Q: Can I join the weekly contests online?

A: Our contests are only open to our participants. 

Q: Can I just join the contests and not the lectures?

A: As we will select a limited number of participants, we will give priority to the applicants who can attend both the contests and lectures. Thus, we expect you to attend both the contests and the lectures. 

Q: Who will be qualified for the certificates?

A: All participants who attended at least 4 lectures and 2 contests will get a certificate of completion. 

Q: Are we going to participate in the contests in teams?

A: No, you will compete individually if not specified otherwise.

Q: Will there be a submission limit in the Qualification Round?

A: There is no limit, however, we may need to consider the number of submissions depending on the problem when we select participants.

Q: Will you check the submitted codes in the Qualification Round? 

A: We will check and compare the submitted codes of the participants.

Q: Can I join the program without an algoleague account?

A: No, you have to have an algoleague account to solve the problems.
