inzva is looking for a part-time Technical Program Specialist with an academic background in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field! This role is ideal for a graduate student or someone deeply interested in academia and research, with a strong passion for AI, computer science, community building, and academic collaboration.

As a Technical Program Specialist, you will be responsible for designing academic programs, building connections with universities, and supporting our volunteer technical teams in organizing high-impact events that contribute to shaping the ecosystem.

Who are we?

A tech community dedicated to artificial intelligence and algorithms based in Istanbul, supported by an education foundation

A non-profit project of BEV Foundation, inzva was established in 2017 in Beykoz Kundura to create a community of talented computer science enthusiasts. Over the last 8 years, inzva has provided over 8000 students with the opportunity to improve themselves through study groups, projects, and camps that focus on studies of algorithms and artificial intelligence studies completely free of charge. 

inzva’s goal is to develop the CS community in Turkey with constant learners and thinkers  who share their knowledge in a respectful manner and collaborate productively with other CS enthusiasts coming from various backgrounds.

Who are you?

  • Has a Master’s degree, or pursuing a Masters degree,

  • Genuinely interested in academic research and advancing scholarly work within a nonprofit context,

  • Has interest in advancing academic studies in a non-profit organization,

  • Passionate about contributing to Turkey’s technology and research ecosystem,

  • Strong interest and commitment to help CS students achieve their goals,

  • Enthusiastic about working in the nonprofit/NGO space,

  • A real people person with good English,

  • A team member with a good sense of work ethic, humor, and fun,

Musts

  • Good written and verbal communication skills both online and in-person,

  • Excellent with deadlines, 

  • Self-driven and open to self-development,

  • Ability to understand the needs and challenges faced by adult learners,

  • Strong attention to detail including record keeping and records management skills,

  • Effective interpersonal communication skills,

  • Residing in or being willing to relocate to Istanbul,

  • Open to work on Saturdays,

  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends is required.

  • Having no travel restrictions and being able to stay in Kundura during the camps, 

  • Experience with Google Drive including Docs, Slides, Sheets, Forms is preferred.

Main Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute academical events like Cohorts,

  • Stay up to date with recent research and design ways for the community to share and inspire one another,

  • Build and maintain relationships with universities, academics, and research networks,

  • Take an active role in the organization of inzva events. Work in all 3rd parties together with the volunteer AI technical team, who are experts in their fields, 

  • Track and engage with national and international top-tier conferences (e.g. NeurIPS, DeepMind, etc.)

  • Abide our Code of Conduct.
