algoleague is looking for a Marketing Specialist(Freelance)
This is a volunteer position for candidates who are interested in making an impact. Please beware that this is not a technical position but rather a community position.
WHO ARE WE?
algoleague, supported by BEV Foundation, is a competitive programming platform where algorithm enthusiasts of all levels practice their algorithmic thinking skills, and compete in contests both in teams and individually.
Established in September 2021, algoleague has created more than 160+ contests and more than 1000+ algorithm problems with the support of its valuable and experienced team and community members.
Growing rapidly, algoleague has provided over 4000+ users with the opportunity to improve themselves through contests, completely free of charge.
Who are you?
A university student with B2 level of English,
Able to maintain work while attending school,
Good at time management, planning and deadlines,
A language enthusiast who is comfortable writing website content, organizing educational materials, and managing social media posts,
Able to understand the needs and challenges faced by adult learners,
A team member with a good sense of work ethic, humor, and fun.
Musts
Good written and verbal communication skills, both online and in-person,
Excellent on deadlines and strong attention to detail,
Self-driven and open to self-development,
Flexibility to work(Suitable for students, Max.10-15 hours a week),
Familiar with Google Drive including Docs, Slides, Sheets, Forms,
Eager to learn new technologies and tools,
Enjoying following new trends in the world of marketing and competitive programming.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Managing regular contents(website descriptions, faq, design materials etc.), social media posts(instagram, twitter, linkedin), and following the deadlines,
Planning and managing the platform's social media accounts (e.g., Twitter, Instagram, Linkedin) to share relevant content, engage with users, and maintain a friendly online community,
Managing the visual and text based updates on the algoleague.com in coordination with the team.
Following the communication workflow by holding weekly meetings and complying with deadlines,
Planning and managing up-to-date technical and non technical reports and newsletters for the users on a regular basis with the content writer.
Preparing and sending announcement mailings for the contests,
Following national and international competitive programming organizations such as HUPROG, algoComp ,BuCode, ICPC World Finals, ICPC SEERC, etc.
Identify potential partnerships with student clubs, universities, and tech organizations to expand the platform's reach.
