Q: When will the mentorship program start and end?
A: Mentorship program starts in the last week of October. We will finish the mentorship 24-25 program in May 2025.
Q: How does the matching system work?
A: Our mentors are experienced community members. We will take the data you provided during the application process into consideration. We will prioritize candidates according to school background, current academic needs and future career interests.
Q: Can I choose my own mentor?
A: No, matching is done by inzva team members. If you have comments about your match, please contact Umut, Ali Kemal and Haşim about it. We will reshuffle mentors or mentees if a mentor or mentee is not happy with their match, please take into consideration the change is only admissible in the first month. There will be no change after the first month of the program.
Q: What is a harvest meeting?
A: Harvest meetings are regular monthly meetings that every mentee is required to attend. Each mentee shares what they learned from their own mentorship sessions in 5 minutes. This is like pooling knowledge of every mentor-mentee session. This session has proven its benefits for mentees since they get to learn from one another.
Q: I applied before and was part of the 23-24 mentoring program, can I apply again?
A: Yes, you can still apply. But we will give priority to junior community members.
Q: I applied and got selected for the program. But due to certain problems, I can no longer continue the program. What should I do?
A: Contact inzva team members, Umut, Ali Kemal and Haşim, immediately. Since it is a year-long program and a long selection process, it is hard to replace another candidate with the right mentor match. Your fast response helps us to replace your slot with another mentee candidate.
