Mentorship Program 2021-2022 Report
We concluded the Mentorship Program 2021-2022 with 10 mentors and 19 mentees. It was held for 8 months from September 25 to April 26, where the mentees met online every last week of a month and discussed what they learned during that month. A Kick-off meeting, 4 Mentors’ Meetings, and 5 Harvest Meetings were held throughout the program.
In the Kick-off Meeting, mentees met each other and learned what we expect from them. Mentors also attended and had a chance to meet other mentors and mentees. After giving start to the program with Kick-off, each mentor and his/her 2 mentees come together online regularly. Mentees noted the meeting dates with their mentors on the timetable.
Monthly Mentors’ Meetings were held online to provide a platform for mentors to help them improve by enabling them to ask the right questions about the obstacles they face in their lives and career paths. Harvest Meetings were held in the last week of each month with the participation of all mentees.
Mentees share what they learned during that month with each other. The aim of the Harvest Meeting was for all mentees to come together every month to share experience, and knowledge and get to know each other better.

COMMUNITY FEEDBACK
I always had some questions about my career and school life, but I had no one to ask. With this program, I have earned a large network and a family. I met valuable people. Beyond my questions, I listened to very different experiences and information from other mentees. There was a very enjoyable, sincere atmosphere throughout the program. Also, my mentor, Onur Boyar, is an excellent person. He helped me a lot while I was deciding on my career path. He has been a role model for me. The Mentorship Program was totally perfect for me.
The Mentorship Program was one of the most beneficial programs I have ever participated in. I had a chance to get mentorship through my personal development journey. It was helpful for me while making decisions about my academic and personal life. I have learned a lot of things from not only my mentor but also from the other mentees, thanks to the Harvest Meetings. In these meetings, we talked about internship opportunities, university/business life, and our future plans. It was nice to see that we are all going through similar challenges and to know that we are not alone.
