Turkish Programming Contest 2025

After several years of online format, we are proud to announce that the Turkish Programming Contest returned this year to its original in-person structure! On November 2, 2025, students, organizers, mentors, and volunteers gathered once again at Beykoz Kundura for a competition shaped by preparation, collaboration, and a strong commitment to algorithmic thinking.

On October 19, 69 teams from universities across Istanbul and Ankara participated in the Qualification Rounds. From these rounds, 15 teams advanced to the Final. The top three finalists earned the opportunity to represent Turkey at SEERC (South Eastern European Regional Contest) in Thessaloniki, Greece, on December 13-14.

As BEV Foundation, we are always dedicated to supporting these teams by covering their travel and accommodation expenses, ensuring their participation without financial barriers.

About the Contest

The Turkish Programming Contest is a collaborative, team-based competition that brings together Turkish universities and our community-driven programming platform, algoleague Open to all undergraduate students in Turkey, TPC invites teams of three to challenge themselves, compete, and build lasting skills. This year’s return to a physical event restored an atmosphere that had long distinguished TPC: the focus created by shared space, the dynamic flow of teamwork, and the sense of community built through collective effort.

The first edition of the contest was held in 2019, followed by several years in an online format under the name “Online Programming Contest.” This year, we placed special emphasis on bringing the community together again in a physical setting. After months of preparation, we welcomed 69 teams across two cities: Hacettepe University in Ankara and inzva - Beykoz Kundura in Istanbul.

Support Behind the Contest

This year, Lighter was our Main Sponsor, and Lidya supported us as a Silver Sponsor. Beykoz Kundura once again stood by us and played a crucial role in ensuring the event ran smoothly. Special thanks to Levi’s donation of the Final Round t-shirts, we were able to capture a bright and memorable group moment with our t-shirts together.

For us, the Turkish Programming Contest is a collective project that comes to life through the commitment of our community. Each support, from sponsors to volunteers, plays a part in bringing TPC to life, and this shared effort is what keeps the contest meaningful year after year.

Contributors and Community Effort

The Turkish Programming Contest is more than a competition; it is a long-term, collaborative process. Preparations for TPC 2025 began in July, with the formation of the problem-writing team, planning the Ankara stage, and organizing volunteer teams.

All 18 algorithm problems used across both stages of the contest were created by alumni of the inzva community, who had previously trained or taught in our programs. Problem testing, quality assurance, and technical support were handled by dedicated volunteers. Every aspect of the contest, from content creation and visual materials to venue setup, benefited from the efforts of more than 40 community members. We also extend special thanks to the Hacettepe AI Club for their support during the Ankara stage.

Algorithmic problems for the qualification and final rounds were prepared under the leadership of Murat Biberoğlu, together with Berke Dönmez, Melih Akpınar, Ahmet Furkan Kavraz, Yasin Kaya, Kadir Emre Oto, Haşim Zafer Çiçek, Yılmaz Barış Kaplan, Atakan Yaşar, and Kerim Kochekov. Problem testing and technical support were carried out by Alperen Tupurtu, Ömer Faruk Özkan, and Yusuf Akın.

The contest was held on algoleague, developed again by inzva community. From technical preparation to on-site coordination, TPC once again showcased the strength of a community built on shared learning and long-term collaboration

Career Insights

The TPC 2025 journey was not limited to the competition itself. It also offered students opportunities to learn, connect, and grow. On November 1, one day before the Final Round, participants came together for an inspiring career session moderated by Utku Yavuz. Representatives from Lighter and Lidya shared their own professional paths, offering insights into the worlds of technology and finance. The session gave students the chance to ask questions, exchange ideas, and engage directly with industry professionals.
