Mentorship Program 2024-2025

As the Mentorship Program enters its 5th year, it continues to unite inzva alumni with the brightest young minds!

The Mentorship Program aims to transfer experience and knowledge within the community by bringing together inzva alumni and the community’s younger minds for a period of 8 months.

We will pair each mentor with two mentees based on their areas of interest and learning paths. After the selection process, we will host mandatory monthly harvest meetings for the mentees from October 2024 to May 2025. Throughout the program, there will be two sessions where mentees will gain insights into career opportunities in both industry and academia. With a total of 8 mentors, 16 mentees will be accepted into the program.

*Note that this is not a technical program, there will be no projects or work as a program output. The program aims to provide guidance, support, and knowledge transfer from experienced mentors to mentees, helping them develop skills, make informed decisions, and achieve personal or professional growth.

Our regular monthly meetings will be held online to give mentors a platform to assist in the development of mentees by enabling them to ask the right questions about the obstacles they face in their lives and career paths. Mentors are encouraged to give their insights and actively motivate their mentees, guiding those facing experiences similar to their own.

COMMUNITY FEEDBACK

Ayşegül Terzi (Eskisehir Technical University - Computer Engineering)

“Becoming a successful person is a dream of almost all of us, but no matter how many helpful tools we have, it is the surest and most beneficial way to follow a path full of difficulties that we do not face with an experienced and successful guide. When it came to my own career, it was one of the best decisions I made to benefit from the experience of someone who had been through the same path as me.

In addition to each mentor being an expert in their own field, the diversity of people from almost every field has expand my horizon and encouraged me. Also having someone I can talk to on a regular basis, express myself comfortably and solve my confusions is an incredible relief.”

Haşim Zafer Çiçek (Hacettepe University - Computer Engineering)

“During the program with my mentor, we did a comprehensive study of academia and industry abroad, including the use of artificial intelligence in various fields, the intricacies of blockchain technology, admission criteria for master's programs and CV preparation strategies.

This process significantly improved my understanding of the expectations and perspectives of the academic world. My experience of participating in a hackathon provided me with the opportunity to benefit from my mentor's rich experience and crystallized my career goals. With the guidance of my mentor, I started to identify and implement the steps to achieve my goals. The program has been an inspiring and guiding experience in my career.”
